The Giant Round Robin Format for all the FLORIDA ORANGE BLOSSOM TABLE TENNIS TOUR tournaments is conducted in Two Stages.

FIRST STAGE (Preliminary Stage):

All Players are divided into groups of 5 players.

There will be 8 groups of 5 players in a full tournament.

If the tournament is not full, there could be 4 players in some of the groups, but most groups will start off the day with 5 players.

Each of the 8 groups of 5 players will play a full round robin (All 5 players will play each other a best 3 out of 5 game match to 11 points).

After all groups have finished, the scoresheets will be tallied to see who has finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.

All players advance to the SECOND STAGE, regardless of how they finished in the FIRST STAGE.

LUNCH--At the completion of the FIRST STAGE, all registered players are invited to a complimentary lunch of pizza, soft drinks and bottled water (45 minute duration).

SECOND STAGE (Final Stage):

All Players are now divided into 5 groups of 8 players, based on where they finished in their groups at the conclusion of the FIRST STAGE.

The players who won 1st Place in their FIRST STAGE group will be placed in the CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS in the SECOND STAGE.

The players who won 2nd Place in their FIRST STAGE group will be placed in the ELITE CLASS in the SECOND STAGE.

The players who won 3rd Place in their FIRST STAGE group will be placed in the MASTER CLASS in the SECOND STAGE.

The players who won 4th Place in their FIRST STAGE group will be placed in the EXPERT CLASS in the SECOND STAGE.

The players who won 5th Place in their FIRST STAGE group will be placed in the ADVANCED CLASS in the SECOND STAGE.

Each of the 5 classes of 8 players will play a full round robin (All 8 players will play each other a best 3 out of 5 game match to 11 points).

After each class completes all their matches, the scoresheets will be tallied to see who finished first through eight place.

Awards will be presented to 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and 4th Place in all 5 Classes.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

In a full tournament, players may expect to play 4 matches during the FIRST STAGE and 7 matches during the SECOND STAGE.
